Semi-Automatic Shelving System (Shuttle)
Shuttle Racking Systems are similar in structure to the walk-in racking system, and the loading and unloading of pallets in the system is carried out by a remote-controlled forklift called a Shuttle, which moves on rails fixed to the rack channels, instead of a forklift.
Shuttle racking systems maximize the use of available space and height by stacking pallets in a deep direction within the floors. This system allows for the storage of multiple products in the same channel on different floors.
Shuttle Racking systems, a semi-automatic warehouse racking system, are preferred in cold storage facilities with high investment costs as they provide maximum space utilization.
